About the Band

The Crossroads Community Band was founded in late 2009. Jona Anderson, a music instructor at Victoria College, and Jay Lester, Director of Fine Arts at Victoria Independent School District joined forces to start a band composed of high school, college students, and community members. The band is a traditional concert band with woodwind, brass, and percussion sections.

Our instrumentalists come from all walks of life - including retirees, teachers, doctors, librarians, engineers, computer specialists, business people, students, and professional musicians.
